Africa Center compiles publicly-available statistics about African countries — population, GDP, geography, indicators of human development — into clean visual summaries. The figures themselves come from organisations such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, United Nations agencies, the African Development Bank, and national statistics offices. Africa Center is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking on behalf of any of those organisations or any government.
2. Acceptable use
You are welcome to read, link to, share, and quote from this site for any lawful purpose — research, journalism, education, classroom teaching, business analysis, or general curiosity. In using the site you agree not to:
- Scrape the site at a rate that materially burdens the server, or attempt to bypass technical limits.
- Republish full pages verbatim in a way designed to substitute for, or to outrank, the original page in search results.
- Strip attribution from charts, maps, or tables you reuse off-site.
- Use the site or its content in any way that violates applicable law, infringes the rights of others, or interferes with another visitor's ability to use the site.

4. Trademarks
"Africa Center", the dot-mark logo and the typographic treatment of the brand are property of the publisher. Country flag emoji, country names, and the names of international institutions referenced on the site belong to their respective owners; references on the site are descriptive and editorial and are not a claim of endorsement.
5. Accuracy and "as is" disclaimer
We try hard to be accurate, but Africa Center compiles data from multiple sources that themselves revise their figures. Population estimates, GDP figures, growth rates, and similar indicators are reported on a "best available estimate" basis and may be revised, sometimes substantially, when new census or survey data is released. The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
If you spot an error, please contact us with a primary-source link and we will review the figure.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Africa Center, its publisher, and contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, including reliance on any figure, chart, or commentary published here. If you are making a decision with material consequences — investment, policy, academic publication — you should verify any number against the originating primary source, which we link to wherever practical.
7. Third-party links
The site links extensively to external statistics portals, news organisations, and reference works. We do not control those external sites; their availability, accuracy, terms, and privacy practices are their own. A link does not imply endorsement.
8. Advertising and sponsored content
Africa Center may display advertising delivered by third-party networks (currently Google AdSense). Ads are clearly distinguishable from editorial content.
